The place is a very popular tourist destination in the surrounding region, offering its visitors a unique immersion experience in Austrian culture.

However, one of the main attractions of Treze Tílias is its architecture, which resembles the small villages found in the Alpine regions of Austria. The houses have sloping roofs with eaves, colorful paintings on the facades and carved wooden details.

Furthermore, you will notice that the city is made up of charming streets, well-kept squares and flower gardens, creating an enchanting atmosphere that transports visitors to Europe. Therefore, Treze Tílias is a tourist attraction in itself.

However, in addition to the architecture, Treze Tílias offers a variety of activities for tourists. You can enjoy carriage rides around the city, visit museums, try typical Alpine cuisine and enjoy the cultural events inherited by them.

The city is also surrounded by stunning natural scenery. The mountains in the region provide beautiful panoramic views, hiking trails and opportunities for trekking and cycling.

However, one of the biggest highlights of the region is the famous Tirolerfest, held annually in October. During the festival, visitors can experience a cultural program, with traditional music and dances, parades, exhibitions and typical foods.

Therefore, it is important that you keep in mind that the closest airport – the one with the best coverage and services available – is Chapecó, Serafim Enoss Bertaso Airport (XAP), which is approximately 180 km away, that is, 3 hours by Treze Tílias.

If you depart from Rio de Janeiro and deciding to take a flight to Brazilian Tirol, it will take around 6 hours to travel, plus the air travel to Chapecó, plus the land route to Treze Tílias. Therefore, from Rio to the small city it is more than 1,200 km away.

The trip, from Chapecó to the city, takes place mainly via BR-282. However, if your idea is the land route from the beginning, be prepared for a base of 17 hours of uninterrupted travel, along with the 1,200 km along the BR-116 that separates them.

In Porto Alegre, however, is simpler. A flight from the capital of Rio Grande do Sul to Chapecó lasts a little over 3 hours, counting stopovers, which is, again, around 6 hours to Treze Tílias.

However, if you only want to take the land route, your trip will take around 7 hours, not counting stops, tolls or other obstacles, on a route of around 450 km along the BR-470.

Leaving Brasilia, the air route to Chapecó, and then continuing to Treze Tílias, has an estimated duration, not counting stopovers, of around 4 hours, totaling a base of 7 hours to the Austrian route in Brazil.

However, by land route, you will face almost 23 hours of uninterrupted travel, without tolls or anything like that, over more than 1,600 km of roads, crossing Brazil, to Treze Tílias. Your route will take place via BR-050, 272 and 476.
