To get to Chapada das Mesas you can use both land and air routes. However, obviously, plane travel does not take you directly to the National Park, but it will get you as close to there as possible.

The most recommended air route to use is the one that takes you, from your city, to Prefeito Renato Moreira Airport, also known as Imperatriz Airport. However, the vast majority of trips will be made with stopovers there.

Therefore, once on the ground, in Imperatriz, you should head to Carolina, about 220 km from there, following the BR-010, 226 and 230, which is the closest city to Chapada das Mesas. A trip that lasts around 3 hours.

From Carolina, MA, to Chapada das Mesas you will need to have hired an itinerary package that provides transportation or you will need to use a private car. But a guide is always recommended.
