Therefore, Nobres is located in Mato Grosso, and is one of the hundreds of Brazilian municipalities. It has almost 4 thousand square kilometers and is therefore considered one of the largest municipalities in the central-west region of Brazil.

The municipality, the city of Nobres, Mato Grosso, is known for many things, especially its economy linked to agriculture. However, the beverage industry stands out a lot, especially when it comes to its breweries.

Despite being a small city with a predominantly urban population, the region is rich in natural beauty. There are rivers, natural waterfalls and caves amidst the region's original vegetation.

Therefore, you can consider – and you should, as it is an incredible destination – that the region has a very developed ecotourism network, with exploration and adventure activities, such as rafting, floating and trails.

Furthermore, the city has some influence from the Santana indigenous land, occupied by the Bacari ethnic group, which is about 140 km away. It is possible to say that this is why the main dishes of the local cuisine are rich in fish and cassava.

Close to the state capital, Cuiabá, is Nobres MT, about 145 km away. In other words, this means that you are just as affected by the culture and events of Cuiabá as you are by the Santana indigenous reserve. Nobres is an interesting meeting point to visit.

The small town is crossed by the BR-163 highway. However, because it is overlapped by the BR-364, it takes on this name due to a determining statute. This means that the region is in the middle of the route that connects the southeast to the northwest, dividing the country in half.

Furthermore, this information complements the information already provided in the previous topic. Nobres is a small agricultural hub and a large ecotourism hub, even though it is still little known.

Reproduction Where are we going?

To get to Nobres MT, there are several options for land and air routes, depending on your departure point. Below is some detailed information for those leaving from Rio de Janeiro, Curitiba and Brasília.

Starting from Rio de Janeiro, via air routes, the best option is to take a flight to Cuiabá, Marechal Rondon International Airport (CGB) which is the closest city to Nobres. The flight time is around 2 hours and 30 minutes.

From there to Nobres, you will need to take the MT-010 and BR-364 (which overlaps BR-163) which will take you to the city center. The trip takes around 2h30 minutes.

However, if you want to travel from Rio de Janeiro to Nobre by land, you will face around 27 hours of travel, which will pass through São Paulo until you reach BR-163.

The air route of Curitiba x Nobres does not exist, so you will need to take a flight to Cuiabá. From there, as mentioned about the previous route, it will take about 2h30 minutes via BR-364.

However, the land route is long, and has an estimated duration of 24 hours over more than 1200 km. This route, as well as Rio de Janeiro x Nobres, by land, is not recommended because it is long and very expensive.

You will need to take several highways, starting from BR-277, leaving the capital of Paraná until you reach BR-364, which will lead to the city. Therefore, it is not recommended.

However, leaving from Brasília, little changes in the logic of the land route. The air route remains the same: Cuiabá airport, public or private transport to Nobres, for about 2h30 minutes.

The land journey takes around 15 hours and covers more than 1,200 km, and, like the other options, it is not really worth it.
